Arborus

Arborus is a fictional star constellation, of which the fifth brightest star in relation to Earth, Epsilon Arboris, is a subject of interest.

Epsilon Arboris (ε Arb.)is more commonly known by the informal name of Asterace. It has four planets orbiting it, each one inhabited by at least simple forms of life.

ε Arb. I - Dendranthema

The closest planet to Asterace. It as only a small planet and has only minor amounts of multicellular life that lives on the surface of small pools of water.

ε Arb. II - Artemisia

The second closest to Asterace and the largest of the four planets. Artemisia has a complex mountainous surface riddled with streams and underground rivers. Complex plant-like structures adorn the edges of streams and reach up to the very tops of the mountains.

ε Arb. III - Dandeleon

Dandeleon has a very odd cubic structure that it a very interesting look, leaving almost every natural surface flat and, at the very least, roughly 2cm square. Oceans cover most of its surface.

Life here is mostly plant-like but there is one species that has arisen that is rather unique. It is a small animal that appears very simple as a small blob with eyes but is rather complex and deterministic, having a vast social structure, different races, being able to manipulate close objects almost telepathically and even having a simple language.

ε Arb. IV - Solidago

Solidago has a rather harsh environment, due to being tidally locked to Asterace, either side of the planets surface are perpetually night and day. Life has made an appearance here, living on the edge between night and day where there is a small amount of variation. The presence of life on this boundary gives the planet a subtle change of colour along it when viewed from space.
